Established in 1963, CUPE 387 represents a diverse team of approximately 750 Civic Service Workers of the City of New Westminster, the New Westminster Public Library as well as the Civilian Workers of the New Westminster Police Department.

City workers touch every part of life: they fix roads, inspect buildings, connect us with library resources, run ice rinks and swimming pools, pick up garbage, care for stray animals, maintain the cemetery, and much more. At all times, we need affordable, reliable public services and CUPE 387 members deliver. We are dedicated in our efforts to make our community the best it can be and believe our hard work today will set the standard for a quality city of tomorrow. Many of us are residents of the city, pay taxes here and enjoy the many services provided by the City of New Westminster and its workers.
